VARNIKA is a short film competition open to creative filmmakers, storytellers, artists, and cinematic talent from across India.
Organized by Jagran Institute of Digital Animation (JIDA), under the prestigious Dainik Jagran media group, VARNIKA provides creators with a professional platform to showcase their imagination through cinema.
The vision of VARNIKA is to encourage young filmmakers and creative minds to use cinema as a medium of expression, imagination and storytelling.

VARNIKA is an independent short film competition organized by Jagran Institute of Digital Animation (JIDA), Kanpur. All film submissions remain the intellectual property of their respective creators. By submitting an entry, participants confirm that they own all necessary rights, permissions, music licenses, and creative materials used in the film. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry found violating copyright, plagiarism, or content guidelines.
