Educational Trip

19 November 2022 One Day Lucknow Event

Lucknow, the city of Nawabs, witnessed an influx of JIDA students on 19 November, 2022 as a group of 50 students along with faculties embarked on a one-day trip to explore the cultural and historical treasures of the city.

The students started their journey early in the morning, boarding a bus that took them to their first stop, the famous Ganga Bairaj, a popular spot known for its stunning sunrise view. The students were thrilled to witness the sun rising behind the Ganges River, creating a picturesque view that left them in awe.

After spending some time at Ganga Bairaj, the group headed towards their next destination - the majestic Bara Imam Bara. The sprawling complex of Imam Bara, built by Asaf-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh, in 1784, left the students awestruck with its labyrinthine passages and the famous Bhulbhulaiya, which is said to have 1024 ways to enter and only one way to exit. After a guided tour of Imam Bara, the students went on to visit the historic Rumi Darwaza, a magnificent gateway built in the 18th century, and the picturesque Hussainabad Imam Bara, which houses the famous Chandeliers that are lit up during the annual Muharram procession.

The group also visited the riverfront, where they enjoyed the cool breeze and clicked some pictures. The next stop was the Ambedkar Park, a memorial built in honour of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution. The students were impressed by the grandeur of the park and spent some time admiring the beautiful sculptures and fountains. The final stop of the trip was the Phoenix Mall, where students indulged in some much-needed retail therapy. The mall was filled with high-end brands and food outlets, providing students with an ideal break from the historical and cultural excursions of the day.

The students returned to the college with a newfound appreciation for Lucknow's cultural and historical heritage. The one-day trip was not only a refreshing break from their academic routine but also a great learning experience. The college administration was applauded for organizing such a successful and informative trip.
